Altrier and Hersberg are situated on the verge of the vast forests of Marscherwald and Mullerthal with its small valleys and rocks. Not far from the village of Altrier is a burial mound (tumulus). Excavations have revealed that these are royal graves dating from the period around 430 B.C. Hersberg, oak of the Virgin, classified monument and reputed place of pilgrimage. Interesting chapel. Network of walking paths.
